To renew the child that lies within us all is a noble goal. And for some of us, that renewal is more of a reinvigoration, as I am the eternal 10-year-old. This is evidenced by the fact that I have been to Disneyland not once, but twice in the last month and a half.
Oh yes, some, at age 25 jaunt off to Vegas for a long weekend, or head towards the nearest spa. However, I seem to gravitate towards flying plastic elephants and boats swarmed by animatronics.
I can't say we haven't always known of my predicament. I just happen to have a thing for mice in white gloves. Yet, I have to give it to the people in my life who love me in spite of myself. Those are the people who put up with ten dollars to park and Space Mountain lines- the people who make it possible for the year of a million dreams to come so very true. So to you, Jill McCutchan and Eric Lanier I offer my humble thanks. If not for you, I might have been normal but thanks to your uncanny ability to allow me to forever be 10, I can enjoy Disney not once, but twice!
Call it a curse- but All Day I Dream About Disney.
